who -T mangles outgoing uucp calls (may be Anvil driver problem)

Yet another SCO Xenix V/386 2.3.1 problem....
If you're using "who" with options, be VERY careful.
We just isolated a very strange problem. The system was repeatedly
disconnecting our outgoing uucp calls with a TIMEOUT error during dialing.
After some investigation, we determined that using "who" with the -T option
(which displays the "writable" status of a terminal line) is extremely
dangerous; that is, it does something to the line which causes it to either
be disconnected or return an error status.
More data points:
Tele-386 System unit
Standard (ST412) disk drives
Anvil intelligent Serial board, driver version 2.1.7
This _may_ be a problem in the Anvil drivers. If someone else out there
would check this out without the Anvil card (ie: some other intelligent
serial board) and let me know if it shows up there I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!
